H13CN–HN13C Intensity Ratio as a Temperature Indicator of Interstellar Clouds

چکیده
With the 30-m IRAM radio telescope, we observed several massive star forming regions at wavelengths of 3–4 and 2 mm. The temperature gas in sources was estimated from lines CH3CCH transitions NH3 molecule obtained during observations 100-m telescope Effelsberg. As a result, correlation between integrated intensity ratios J = 1−0 H13CN–HN13C kinetic has been obtained. results allow us to propose use ratio as possible indicator interstellar clouds. We also compared estimates with dust $${{T}_{{{\text{dust}}}}}$$ . no significant found.

The Temperature of Interstellar Clouds from Turbulent Heating
To evaluate the effect of turbulent heating in the thermal balance of interstellar clouds, we develop an extension of the log-Poisson intermittency model to supersonic turbulence. The model depends on a parameter, d, interpreted as the dimension of the most dissipative structures. By comparing the model with the probability distribution of the turbulent dissipation rate in a simulation of super...
متن کاملDust temperature and the submillimetre–radio flux density ratio as a redshift indicator for distant galaxies
It is difficult to identify the distant galaxies selected in existing submillimetre-wave surveys, because their positions are known at best to only several arcseconds. Centimetrewave VLA observations are required in order to determine positions to subarcsecond accuracy, and so to allow reliable optical identifications to be made. Carilli & Yun pointed out that the ratio of the radio to submilli...
متن کاملRating of Perceived Exertion as an Indicator of Exercise Intensity in Paraplegics
Background: Energy expenditure is of paramount importance in the assessment of usefulness of wheelchair for paraplegics. Despite widespread recognition of problems associated with currently available mobility systems for persons with spinal cord injuries, development of more efficient systems has been slow. Lack of a suitable and simple technique for the assessment of energy expenditure in par...
متن کاملExtragalactic molecular clouds and chemistry of diffuse interstellar clouds
Zusammenfassung Since the discovery of a cold molecular component of the interstellar medium in the 1970s, it has been realized that most of the dark clouds are actually molecular clouds, consisting mainly of molecular hydrogen and some amount of dust and other molecules. Nowadays, molecular clouds are recognized as places of star-formation in the Milky Way and other galaxies. Therefore, studie...
